Etwell Concert Series Brightens Cottage Country Music Scene
By Bryan Dearsley
One of the top things to do in Huntsville Ontario for lovers of great live music is to take in one of the regular summer performances hosted by the Etwell Concert Series. Set in a picturesque private location just 16kms west of downtown Huntsville, this popular music program has gained many fans across Muskoka, including cottagers and local residents alike.
Hosted by music lovers Bill,Jeanine, and Tobin Spring in the backyard of their Etwell home (complete with covered pavilion as shelter from inclement weather… and a generator!), these well-attended concerts include well-known, award-winning blues musicians from across Canada as well as abroad.
In addition to hearing great music in a delightful cottage country setting, guests can also enjoy delicious woodfired pizzas, as well as a selection of wines and beers (alternatively, bring your own drinks and snacks). While chairs and picnic tables are available, guests are encouraged to bring their own comfy chairs.

Concerts are held on Sunday afternoons from 3pm-6pm throughout the summer, with a suggested admission of $20 per person (kids are welcome, and are admitted for free); while an entrance ‘donation’ is not mandatory, all proceeds go directly to the artists to cover their costs.
